Cough is a common inflammation of the lining of the throat that causes hoarseness and pain when swallowing. Here are a few folk remedies that help with cough:

Prepare honey-ginger infusion. Grate 1/4 cup of peeled ginger root, add a glass of honey and cook. Drink this decoction one teaspoon at a time, adding 2 teaspoons of sugar to each serving. Take 2-3 evenings in a row before bed.

Prepare the onion remedy. Finely chop the onion, add 2 teaspoons of sugar, pour in 3/4 cup of water and cook until the onion is soft. Eat 1 spoon of this paste throughout the day.

Drink radish juice and gargle with it.

Gargle with a warm solution of vinegar and honey.

Eat boiled garlic. It helps well with hoarseness.

Singers are advised to consume onions and garlic daily, and before singing, drink a glass of water with a teaspoon of honey.

If you lose your voice, horseradish infusion helps: cut a piece of horseradish the size of a nut, pour 1/3 cup of boiling water, leave for 20 minutes. Drink this infusion with sugar, 1 teaspoon per day.
