Lysozyme

Lysozyme is an enzyme present in tears and egg whites. It belongs to the hydrolytic enzymes and catalyzes the hydrolysis of peptidoglycans in the cell walls of some bacteria, in particular gram-positive ones. This leads to the destruction of cell walls and the death of bacteria.

Lysozyme was discovered in 1921 by Alexander Fleming. He discovered that mucus from the human nose has an antibacterial effect. Subsequently, lysozyme was isolated from tears, saliva, milk and egg whites.

The mechanism of action of lysozyme is to break the glycosidic bonds in the peptidoglycan molecule, the main component of the bacterial cell wall. This leads to disruption of the integrity of the cell wall and death of bacteria.

Bacterial cells exposed to lysozyme are called lysed. They lose their shape and integrity.

Thus, lysozyme is an important factor in innate immunity, protecting the body from infections. It is widely used in the food industry for food preservation and in medicine to treat infections.

Lysozymes are enzymes that are present in tears and egg whites. They are essential for maintaining human health and protecting against infectious diseases.

Lysozymes are proteins that have the ability to destroy bacterial cell walls. This allows them to penetrate the cell and destroy its contents.

One of the best known lysozymes is salivary lysozyme. It is found in the saliva of humans and animals and plays an important role in protecting against infections caused by bacteria.

Additionally, lysozymes are also found in egg whites, where they protect eggs from bacteria that can cause them to spoil.

However, not all bacteria are sensitive to the action of lysozyme. Some bacteria have defense mechanisms against its action, which can lead to the development of antibiotic resistance.

Thus, lysozymes play an important role in maintaining human health and protecting against infectious diseases, but may also contribute to the development of antibiotic resistance, necessitating the development of new treatments for infectious diseases.

Lysozymes are a type of substance that is part of some living organisms. They are enzymes that promote the decomposition of bacterial cells. And most of us know that one of these elements is egg white. This is an important fact because some studies show that this product is beneficial for maintaining healthy skin and eyes.

Lysocymide is also called killing proteins because
