Osteoarthritis Deforming

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative-dystrophic disease of the joints, characterized by progressive destruction of articular cartilage, subchondral osteosclerosis, marginal osteophytes, and vascular disorders. Due to the thinning process of cartilage, the bone tissue covering the outside of the articular cartilage progressively wears away, flattens and cracks - a characteristic “joint pattern” appears.
