Argininosuccinase

Arginine succinate is a modified inactive epsilon metalloenzyme that catalyzes the first and only step in the nitric oxide metabolic pathway, converting dehydroarginine to arginine. It is an enzyme of the hydrolase group that catalyzes the transfer of the methyl group from succinate to the amino group of L - arginine (through the enzyme complex arg succinate arginase) with the formation of monomethylarginine.
