Inositol

The name Inositol comes from the Latin word Inositol, also known as inositol, which is a type of vitamin B₈. The substance has a more complex chemical formula and biological functions, which is why the name is different.

Inositol is used to strengthen the body's protective functions and create a protective barrier. The substance also reduces blood glucose levels and helps maintain normal functioning of the cardiovascular system and other organs. Inositol acts as a building material for the nervous system, participates in the synthesis of phospholipids and regulates lipid metabolism. Vitamin deficiency is mainly observed in pregnant women, with diabetes mellitus and gastrointestinal diseases. In young people, a decrease in inositol levels is usually caused by an unbalanced diet.
