What kind of beast are peptides?

A peptide is a molecule that consists of a chain of amino acids. There are long peptides - they contain 5 or more amino acids in a chain, there are short peptides - these are molecules that contain 2, 3 or 4 amino acids in a chain. The fewer amino acids in the chain, the better the peptide. Why?

It's simple! Any product that enters our stomach goes through several stages of digestion and assimilation. In the stomach, chewed food undergoes fermentation, that is, the molecules of the product are cut into the smallest possible amino acid chains - short peptides. Then the short peptides are transferred into the cell for further absorption. Here is the answer to the question “Why are short peptides better?” – they do not undergo fermentation in the stomach and are absorbed entirely.

Let's get back to reviewing our peptide products. Not everything was able to be purchased due to the distance from the sales points.

MyProtein is the No. 1 sports nutrition brand in Europe, delivering its products to 70 countries (taken from the company's official Facebook page).

The package contains 500 g of product. This is pure BCAA, with no added flavors.

It costs 2850 rubles in Russia. as of December 2018, on the official website - $ 23.96 (1,609 rubles).

Personally, I don’t like the package format with rivets; powder gets in there and then doesn’t close well. There is no measuring spoon inside. The package is labeled "BCAA Peptides". I can say that the company has made economical packaging. There is no information about its recycling, so you can’t take plastic or polyethylene to a collection point, it will be garbage-)))

The main thing is that the product arrived safely))

Product composition: peptides (it’s not very clear which ones) 50% + BCAA 50%

Directions for use: Dissolve 5 g of product in 250 ml of liquid, drink during or after exercise. The manufacturer does not recommend exceeding the daily recommended dose.

This product can already be bought in Russia in online stores, and also ordered from the manufacturer directly (there is an official VKontakte group where joint purchases are made).

BCAA with peptides from BioTest (USA)

The jar had not arrived at the time of writing the review (ordered from Amazon, but in general, this product is sold only in the USA). Therefore, I will write based on information from the manufacturer’s website.

BioTest is a company that produces sports nutrition for almost every area.

BCAA contains di- and tripeptides (short chains).

Packaging: plastic jar, 300 g.

Cost: $39.95 (in rubles)

BCAA with peptide complex from Peptiline (Germany)

This jar was brought by friends from Germany, who are always looking to expand the range of their store. I won’t advertise them, their sales are already doing well))

Peptiline is a German company, this is the first time I’ve heard about it. Apparently because they haven’t released sports nutrition yet. I browsed their website a bit (peptiline.de). I can say that they deal directly with peptides, health and beauty products.

Package

Black branded jar, high-quality plastic, inside there is a measuring spoon. The lid closes tightly. The jar is made of PET1 plastic, which is recyclable, but the jar can only be used once. That is, it is not recommended to give it to mothers and grandmothers so that they can pour sugar or anything else into it)), because when the can is reused, the plastic begins to release phthalate. In short, it’s terribly harmful.

The jar contains 300 g of product. Now there is a promotion, the price is 25.99 Euros (in rubles - 1989 rubles).

I looked for delivery to Russia but couldn’t find it, although the site is in Russian. So, if you want to order, you need to write to them directly.

The manufacturer recommends using 10 g of the product per day. The highest dosage of all the products in the review.

STL BCAA IPH AGAA Collagen from Sport Technologies Laboratory (Russia)

I'm tired of rewriting the title. I didn’t remember this right away... STL... BCAA... AGAA... Ah-ah-ah!!

I took a jar for men, also a powder (there is also one for women, but only in capsules).

STL - I heard something about the company. Of course, it is not like MyProtein, but it has a good range. I checked the website (stl-for.ru), everything there is for sports nutrition, the company does just that.

Package

A plastic jar with a lid that closes tightly. Made from PET1 plastic (like Peptiline), meaning it can be recycled.

The jar contains 200 g of product and includes a measuring spoon. The jar costs 1180 rubles. Delivery throughout Russia is available.

Recommendation for use: 3 g per day.

I noticed that BCAA Peptiline (Germany) and BCAA STL (Russia) have the same component in IPH AGAA. I googled it: they write that the German product is a short peptide. It does not undergo fermentation, but is immediately delivered where it is needed, that is, to the muscles. Great!

I can say that peptides are a breakthrough; nothing fundamentally new has been invented in sports nutrition for a long time.

The BCAA line with peptides is a must-try if it is being launched everywhere in the world, especially by the largest sports nutrition manufacturers who are fighting for customers. So it works. A peptide is the same active substance, but smaller in size. It will not cause any harm, but, on the contrary, will improve the functioning of the muscular system.

All products have different recommended dosage:

1. MyProtein – 5 g/day;
2. BioTest – 5 g/day;
3. Peptiline – 10 g/day;
4. STL – 3 g/day.

We all know that in Europe it is absolutely impossible to release a product onto the market without passing certifications. Apparently, they are not required to indicate such information on the packaging.

On the Russian bank there is a registration certificate number and technical specifications (production specifications).

The packaging of all products is of high quality, but here some people like what they like – a jar or a bag with rivets.

All contain peptides. MyProtein contains simply peptides; Peptiline and STL contain short peptides. Long peptides can undergo fermentation, short ones cannot, and accordingly, they are absorbed better.
