The Chistyakov method is an original method of teaching a foreign language, which was developed at Moscow State University. M. V. Lomonosov by the staff of the language department, Professor A. P. Chistyakov and his graduate student G. A. Brygin. It has become widely known due to its effectiveness and simplicity.

The method is based on the idea that each foreign word should be associated with the native language in order to facilitate understanding and assimilation of vocabulary. For this purpose, so-called “meanings” are used, that is, associations with words of the native language. For example, if we are learning the word “apple”, we can associate it with the word “fruit” because both words have a common meaning. This allows us to more easily remember new material and develop our understanding of a foreign language.

Chistyakov's method also uses the principles of grouping words and dividing them into semantic groups. For example, we can study not only individual words, but also entire phrases and sentences that relate to a general topic or situation. This helps us expand our vocabulary and learn to use new words in context.

One of the key principles of the Chistyakov method is the use of active exercises such as games, discussion of topics and role-playing situations. This ensures constant use of the language in practice and improves communication skills.

The Chistyakovsky method also suggests the use of non-standard approaches for memorizing foreign words, such as visualization, composing rhyming poems and creating associations. This stimulates our creative side and helps us learn new material more effectively.

However, like any technique, the Chistyakovsky method is not without its drawbacks. Some teachers may take an overly harsh approach and put pressure on students, which can lead to negative consequences such as fear of speaking English and lack of motivation.

Additionally, the use of native associations may be limited by cultural differences and safety requirements in some situations. It is important to use the methods of developing soft and convenient management using the Chistyakov method, based on the individual characteristics of students.

Despite these disadvantages, the Chistyakov method is still one of the most effective methods
