If you want to live longer, smile more often!

To study the connection between smiling and longevity, they used... baseball players. Scientists took more than 200 photographs from America's old baseball roster. And they divided them into three groups: gloomy, with a slight smile and broadly smiling.

The age of the deceased athletes was then analyzed. It turned out that gloomy baseball players, on average, lived to be 72 years old. Those who were captured in the photo with a barely noticeable smile passed away around the age of 75. But the smiling guys lived to be 80 years old. The scientists clarify that the study accepted photographs only of those people whose smile was truly sincere. It turns out that a specialist can easily determine whether you are smiling from the heart or for show. These two types of smiles involve completely different muscle groups.

However, there is another study that states that gullible, optimistic people are more likely to be disappointed. And disappointment is precisely the stress that can shorten life. So think about what is better: to treat the world with distrust or openness.

I WANT recommends: if you want to live longer, smile sincerely, but don’t lose your head!
