Oatmeal protects against sexually transmitted diseases

American scientists have discovered the unusual properties of oatmeal: in particular, they note that oatmeal can prevent infection with sexually transmitted diseases.

According to the results of their research, this cereal contains the amino acid arginine. It is able to activate macrophages - cells that capture and block the action of bacteria and other foreign particles. Macrophages strive to get to the center of inflammation, and when the body is threatened by a sexually transmitted disease, they can create a strong defense and prevent it.

Arginine acid is not only found in oatmeal, it can also be found in sesame seeds, corn, nuts, raisins and chocolate. But you shouldn’t rely only on these foods and forget about the basic rules of contraception.
