Pain relief from nature
In almost any advertisement for paid childbirth, you can see various means of anesthesia. However, in addition to the analgesic effect, these drugs have a negative effect on the natural course of labor. Fortunately, there are natural, harmless ways to reduce the discomfort of childbirth. They are safe for mothers and children - and this is their main advantage.
Before you make a choice: an anesthesiologist's injection or natural remedies, think about the fact that the pain of labor brings certain benefits. It is pain that forces you to change the position of your body. After all, what happens during childbirth? The woman’s pelvic bones and soft tissues must adapt to the baby’s head, which in turn takes the correct shape to overcome this winding route. Painful sensations tell the woman in labor to change her position or engage in self-massage, and this is a signal of how the baby will feel better. Muffled by anesthesia, the woman will not hear these signals and, most likely, she will have to force the baby out or resort to additional traumatic influences.
Unpleasant sensations during childbirth are a trigger for a complex hormonal reaction in the mother. In response to pain, the body produces its own pain relief, part of which goes to the baby so that he can more easily endure the stress of childbirth. The same hormonal bouquet promotes the dilation of the cervix and independent, reflex childbirth without forced squeezing.
One of the basic rules of natural pain relief is: listen to your wise body. If it wants you to change your position, for example to all fours, do it. Remember that there are no right or wrong positions during childbirth. There are only those that you and your child need at the moment.
Massage and water procedures: shower or bath provide a good pain-relieving effect. Another method is a generic sound, similar to throat folk singing, in which the vocal cords practically do not participate. It helps relax the pelvic diaphragm. So, if you want to sound during childbirth, please do so.
This and many other techniques can be learned in childbirth preparation courses.
Happy delivery everyone!!!
