A paraallergy is a special form of food allergy. It is believed to be associated with disruption of the immune system mechanisms. Antihistamines do not help in this case. Most often, this allergy occurs to protein products of animal origin. Therefore, paraallergy is sometimes also called “protein intolerance.”
The name itself can be a little confusing. Many people call this disease the same as a regular allergy, namely “allergy”, not knowing the true meaning of the term “para-allergy”. In fact, this is a completely different, separate form of pathology.
Paraallergies can manifest themselves in the following cases:
1. in infants suffering from lactase deficiency due to a congenital abnormality of the lactase enzyme; 2. as part of other food allergies. However, it should be understood that paraallergy is difficult to achieve a clinical picture. This is only a functional disorder that occurs in any person. Simply being predisposed to this, but having a healthy body, people cannot detect all the symptoms of this disorder. Not every food intolerance that is considered a “common” allergy is one. If a person encounters this disorder in childhood immediately after consuming dairy products, most often this is a paraallergy
