Sappa Vienna is a famous French anatomist and physician who made significant contributions to the development of medicine and anatomy. He was born on December 12, 1801 in Paris, France. Due to a family conflict, the baby's father sent him at the age of 14 to study from France to Italy, then to London, where his outstanding abilities in the study of arts and sciences were discovered.
Sapeya was interested in natural sciences and medicine, especially anatomy. At first he worked as a teacher, then as a doctor. He became famous for his participation in the expedition to Kashmir in 1822-1824, when he studied topographical human anatomy. A few years later, Sappøya was appointed director of the medical institute in Vienna and remained in this position until the end of his life. From 1830 to 1872 he published an anatomical journal, and in 1852 he published a monograph on the anatomy of the chest. The work was written in Latin and has not yet lost its relevance and relevance. It has been translated into many languages of the world, including Russian. However, he is known not only as a scientist, but also as a philanthropist. In 1863, together with the same obstetrician Schweigtserov, he organized a charitable society to help medical students. Sappaya was also appointed to the honorary position of chief materials observer at the city's anatomical institute. His death occurred on May 23, 1890, after a long illness, at the age of 84.
