Oxalic Acetic Acid

Oxalic acid (acetic-oxalic or oxalo-acetic) is a dibasic saturated carboxylic acid.

Oxalic (acetic, oxalic) acid is obtained by the oxidation of sorrel or by the action of concentrated sulfuric acid on it.

Oxalic acid (oxalic acid) or its historical name “sorrel” is an organic compound, a dibasic saturated acid. Refers to carboxylic acids. Oxalic acids are insoluble in cold water and acids and practically insoluble in alkalis. Under normal conditions, they are yellowish crystalline solids, highly soluble in water, ethanol, glycerin and chloroform. In air they oxidize and gradually turn into anhydride.
