Theory of Tissue Evolution

The theory of tissue evolution is a theory of the development of organisms based on their structural characteristics that are related to the functions of tissues and organs. It was developed by Russian biologist Alexander Zavarzin in the 70s of the twentieth century and is one of the most famous areas of evolutionary biology.

The main idea of the theory is that the evolution of living organisms occurs through the process of adaptation to the environment. At the same time, the body adapts not only at the level of individual cells or organs, but also at the level of tissue and systemic structures that ensure its integrity and functionality. It is these structural features of the organism that are the main factors determining its survival and evolution.
