A simulator for recording movements of gymnasts.
As you know, gymnastic exercises are the most difficult to learn for beginner athletes. Technological errors made at the initial stage of preparation can form the foundation of your entire preparation like a cardboard brick for a long time, and subsequently fail you at the most inopportune moment. Moreover, retraining an even incorrectly trained athlete is much more difficult than just an ordinary beginner. In view of all this, coaches should devote maximum of their time to the initial movement techniques of newly trained athletes in order to prevent all these negative aspects. It turns out there are very powerful technical tools designed to help them in these endeavors.
The simulator in question is designed for increasing the effectiveness of training gymnastic exercises. During the training process, it is possible, using an electromechanical system, to record the movement parameters of gymnasts, to determine the spatiotemporal characteristics of the movement of the legs in the hip joints when performing exercises on gymnastic apparatus.
The electromechanical system consists of three main components: a mechanical sensor, a tape drive mechanism, and a power supply with an electric stopwatch (see figure).
The mechanical sensor (Fig. a) is a device that converts the rotational movement of the legs in the hip joints into linear. It consists of a fixed plate 2, on which a guide rod 3 and a cable 1 are attached, connected to the carriage of the tape drive mechanism. An eccentric 5 is mounted on the movable plate 7, the rotation of which is carried out using a ball bearing. The inner ring of the latter is rigidly fixed on a fixed plate, and the outer one on a movable plate. The linear movement of the carriage of the tape drive mechanism is proportional to the rotational movement of the eccentric in the center of the connection of two plates 2 and 7. Connecting flat springs 6 are used to more tightly attach the sensor to the athlete’s torso and thigh.
The device is powered by direct current from a battery. Simultaneously with the device, an electric stopwatch is connected to the network. The speed of tape movement on the tape transport mechanism is 10 mm/s.
Before starting to operate the device, check control points, which determine the angle of deviation of the leg at the hip joint. The error of the device is determined by simultaneous video recording and recording of the exercise performed electromechanically.
Wall-mounted folding device for gymnastic exercises.
The device can be used to equip gyms in schools, secondary and higher educational institutions, as well as gymnasiums (author Yu. G. Toloknov).
In the device, all brackets are installed on one longitudinal wall of a gymnasium with a length of 24 m in the following sequence: three high, four low and four L-shaped brackets. High and low brackets are rectangular frames made of steel pipes and a stainless steel rod with a diameter of 28 mm, which is the neck of the crossbar. The stiffening ribs are made of 8 mm sheet steel, the L-shaped brackets are also made of pipes. All 11 brackets are connected to each other by a stainless steel rod with a diameter of 28 mm, which is the neck of seven high and three low crossbars.
The final welding of the upper and lower stops is carried out if nothing prevents folding with all the bars inserted. Lastly, the thrust rings are welded.
