I often hear the question of what to do if your child eats strange food. For example, he asked for a bag of berries while out for a walk, and one of his friends poured out a bucket of blueberries and offered him “at least as many as he can eat.” Or the sandwich is so big that the son doesn’t eat it all. Maybe half of it hasn’t fit into your mouth yet, but you have to take the other half home? I refuse such treats. After all, then the child will ask for large portions and eat all the time, because “anything is possible, it’s delicious.” This means that he will face troubles from his parents: since he doesn’t have enough willpower to stop buying sweets for an overfed sweet tooth, the time will come to fit into uniform trousers...
The problem of excess portions is dangerous at any age. We react to overfeeding literally immediately: the mucous membranes begin to quickly absorb large amounts of sugar, hence fatigue in children and mood swings. But in addition to physical discomfort, excess sugar can cause “excess weight” - not in the child, but in his loved ones. When the time comes to buy things for growth, it turns out that the children are gaining weight with all their might, and you are looking for the reason and do not know how to deal with it.
