Amylopectinosis

Amylopectanosis is a metabolic disorder that leads to digestive system problems and health problems. It is a rare disease, affecting only about 50 people per million people worldwide. It usually appears between the ages of 40 and 70, but can be diagnosed in people of any age.

Amylopectanosis occurs when two types of starches found in food cannot be properly digested by the stomach. The first type of starch, amylose, breaks down its structure once it enters the stomach and is digested naturally. The second type of starch, amyl, cannot be broken down properly and remains as colorless granules in the tissue walls
