Saikov's diet: An effective method of combating excess weight
The problems of being overweight are now familiar to many people. Obesity not only prevents you from achieving your desired physical fitness, but can also negatively impact your overall health by placing additional stress on the heart, liver, kidneys, musculoskeletal system and other organs. There are many dietary techniques designed to combat excess weight, and one of the most popular approaches is Dr. Saikov's diet, also known as the Larisa Dolina diet.
Dr. Saikov's diet is based on eating foods with minimal fat. It involves following a diet for 7 days, followed by a week off, after which the cycle of 7 days of diet is repeated again. Some proponents of this approach recommend continuing this rotation until you reach your goal weight. However, it is important to remember that Dr. Saikov’s diet is low-calorie and quickly depletes the body, so doctors do not recommend following it more than once a month. It is also not recommended to combine this diet with intense physical activity.
Following Dr. Saikov's diet requires strict adherence to instructions, including:
- Eating six times a day at certain times (at 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 o'clock). After 6 pm, eating food is strictly prohibited.
- Taking an enema or taking laxatives every day.
- Drinking 50 grams of a special herbal infusion before each meal (mix one bag of chamomile, calendula and St. John's wort with 200 ml of water).
- Limit liquid consumption (except for the specified herbal infusion) to 0.5 liters of boiled water per day.
- Strict adherence to the recommended menu.
Dr. Saikov’s daily diet menu is as follows:
Day 1: Baked potatoes without salt (400 g) and 0.5 liters of kefir.
Day 2: 0.5 liters of kefir and 400 g of low-fat cottage cheese.
Day 3: 0.5 liters of kefir and 400 g of fresh fruit (except for high-calorie bananas and grapes).
Day 4: 500 ml of kefir and 400 g of boiled chicken breasts.
Day 5: Menu similar to day 3.
Day 6: Fasting day - consumption of 1.5 liters of regular still water.
Day 7: 400 g of fresh fruit and 0.5 liters of kefir.
It is important to note that only one percent kefir should be consumed throughout the week. Before starting the diet, it is recommended to carry out a fasting day, during which you can drink only clean, non-mineralized and still water.
In a week of following Dr. Saikov’s diet, you can expect to lose up to 5 kg of excess weight. However, it must be remembered that results may vary depending on the individual characteristics of the body.
It is important to note that Dr. Saikov's diet is a temporary method of weight loss and is not recommended as a permanent way of life. Before starting any diet, it is always recommended to consult with a physician or qualified nutritionist to ensure that it is suitable for you and does not conflict with your overall health and individual needs.
