Stimulus Adequate

Stimuli are external or internal factors that can cause negative emotions in us. There are several types of stimuli, and one of them is an adequate stimulus.

An adequate stimulus is one that evokes in us a reaction corresponding to its strength. For example, if we see a person on the street who annoys us, we may react negatively to him, even if he does nothing wrong.

However, not all stimuli are adequate. Some of them may be too strong or too weak to cause the desired reaction in us. For example, the sound of a cricket may be an irritant to some people, but to others it may be pleasant.

It is important to understand that each person has his own individual threshold of sensitivity to irritants. Therefore, if you want to avoid negative emotions, then you need to learn to control your reactions to stimuli.
