Barre Reflex

The Barre reflex is a reflex that is responsible for activating the muscles of the buttocks and hamstrings when the biceps femoris tendon is applied. This reflex was discovered by French physiotherapist Jean-Baptiste de la Barre in 1876 and named after him.

The barre reflex is one of the key reflexes for maintaining healthy legs and hips. It helps improve blood circulation in muscles and joints, and also improves their strength and flexibility. Additionally, this reflex can be used to treat various diseases such as arthritis and injuries.

To activate the barre reflex, you must do the following:

  1. Lie on your back, legs extended.
  2. Bend your knees at an angle of 90 degrees.
  3. Raise one leg up without lifting the other leg off the floor.
  4. Hold this pose for 5-10 seconds.
  5. Repeat the exercise for the other leg.

Practicing the barre reflex regularly can help improve circulation, reduce pain in the legs and hips, and strengthen muscles and joints. However, before starting training, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
