Additional structures of the sports town.

In this section, we continue to consider the device and technical features sports structures, used to complete the simplest yard sports grounds. In our recent article, we carefully examined such a common element of a sports town as monkey bars, - and now let’s study a few more devices for climbing on hands and other strength exercises for fitness and bodybuilding...

Gymnastics complex

Any main battery includes at least three main projectiles:

  1. Gymnastic trapeze,
  2. Rings,
  3. Gymnastic ladder.

The basis of this design is a “U”-shaped frame (usually 5 m high), to which the remaining projectiles are attached by couplings and welding (Fig. 1). The frame can be made of water pipes with a diameter of 55-60 mm. Two triangles with a base of 2 m from pipes with a diameter of 28-30 mm are welded to the legs. It is assembled from the same pipes and pins gymnastic ladder, which is welded in the center to the frame. The structure is installed in a pre-prepared trench to a depth of at least one meter and concreted. When finished, it is painted with oil paint.

Hinged rings and gymnastic trapeze installed on metal cables, steel chains or ropes capable of supporting a weight of over 200 kg. The surface of the handrails of rings and trapezoids usually has a wooden, plastic, sometimes rubberized material structure for better hand grip.

Pull-ups, swings, point-blank flips, leg raises, push-ups, climbing, etc. are performed on the apparatus.

Uneven-height bars

They are made from metal pipes of various diameters: pillars - 50-80 mm, crossbars - 30-50 mm. Pillars can also be made from wooden blocks with a cross-section of 10 cm or more. The welded structure of the crossbars or wooden blocks are dug into the soil to a depth of at least 70 cm and concreted. The projectile is painted with oil paint. Installed seven different crossbar heights:

The last three used as a support for performing push-up exercises (flexion/extension of the arms) in different positions: in a support position lying in front or behind, holding the legs at a right angle (or less) while hanging; climbing and crawling. On high bars, as well as on the trapezium, hanging exercises are performed: pull-ups, bending and spreading straight and bent legs (together and alternately), torso turns, etc.

Running reels

The projectile is a welded metal structure. For its manufacture, water and gas pipes with a diameter of 30-50 mm are used. The apparatus includes four metal shaped handrails, a two-span gymnastic staircase and two wooden drums with axles. Drum, with a diameter of 50-60 cm, consists of three wooden circles with holes cut in the center for a pipe that fits onto the axis of the projectile. The thickness of the boards from which the circle is assembled is 50 mm. The finished circles are put on a pipe with a diameter of 30 mm. It is advisable to cut a thread at the ends of the latter, which will allow the finished drum to be strengthened from the sides using nuts. To make the drum, wooden blocks 56 cm long, half a decimeter wide and an average thickness of ~ 2 cm are stuffed onto the circles. Subsequently, the 60 cm long bars are nailed to the sides of the drum so that they are nailed to the transverse boards and sawn in a circle. The finished drum is placed on the axles of the racks - handrails (4 ~ 5 cm long), after which the latter are dug into the ground to a depth of at least 70 cm and concreted.

running drum
can be made and installed as a separate apparatus, or symmetrically in combination with another drum and a gymnastic ladder in the middle.

On a running drum, exercises are performed in running in place, holding the handles of the handrails. The pace and duration should be monitored by heart rate (heart rate).

Circular ladder

The basis of the metal structure made of gas pipes with a cross-section of 28-30 mm is a circular ladder with a diameter of 80 ~ 100 cm and an approximate width of half a meter. Circular handrails are welded on both sides. The ladder is installed on two 2 m high posts, welded on both sides to it (to the ladder) at an angle of 45°. The lower ends of the racks, connected by a crossbar, are dug into the ground to a depth of at least 50 cm and concreted.

Lasagna exercises are performed on the apparatus. In this case, you must try to make a full circle of climbing the ladder without touching the ground with your feet. In addition, you can perform a set of push-ups while lying at different angles, push-ups with your legs forward at an angle of 90°, flexion-extension of the torso while lying on a ladder, etc.

Log paths

To make a projectile, logs with a cross-section of 20 cm are needed. They are cut into bars 80-220 cm long, which are dug into the ground to different depths (50-70 cm) in different orders. A different number of bars - 12-40 or more - determines the length, and the height - the relief of the path. The part of the bars located on the surface has a square cross-section of 20x20 cm. The direction of the path can be zigzag, winding, spiral, etc.

On the track, walking in different directions, running, jumping, transitions, and jumping from foot to foot are performed. It is generally accepted that all these exercises allow you to develop dexterity and coordination of movements.
