Anise oil is an essential oil obtained from the fruits of the plant Pimpinella anisum (in the northern Caucasus and Central Asia also from Pimpinella saxifraga). This oil is widely used in medicine and cosmetology due to its beneficial properties.

Anise oil is produced in Russia at the Moscow Pharmaceutical Factory and the Biask company, as well as in Germany at the Dr. Theiss Naturvaren GmbH factory. International name: Anise oil.

Composition and properties

The main component of anise oil is anethole (about 80%), which has many beneficial properties. The oil also contains anisaldehyde and anisic acid.
