Duchenne Symptom

Duchenne is a syndrome from a group of hereditary neuromuscular diseases caused by a mutation of the _DYNC2H1_ gene and manifested by muscle paralysis. Hereditary myopathies are most often caused by deficiency or hyperactivity of components of the muscle spindle or sarcoplasmic calcium pump. All these diseases are characterized by selective myopathy of the distal extremities.
