Formic acid

Formic acid, which we are so used to seeing in hydrogen peroxide, can be found in nature. It is released during the mutation process of yeast (fungi), which processes sugar into beer, wine and other fermentation products.

Formic acid, also known as formic acid, is a derivative of the carbohydrate mannitol, a polyhydric alcohol of mannose, which is used as a nutritional supplement for yeast and microbes.
