A device for determining the angle of flexion at the ankle joint.

This device with the original name: “goniometer” is intended to determine the angle of flexion of the leg at the ankle joint; Most often used in speed skating. The use of the device in the training process of speed skaters helps improve the technique and physical qualities of athletes.

Goniometer consists of two wooden posts to which are attached protractors graduated to within one degree (Fig. 1). Using straps, the movable goniometer bars with an arrow are secured to the leg at an angle of 90°. When a skater squats, the minimum angle of flexion of the left and right legs at the ankle joint can be determined.

Training device for speed skaters.

Using the device, you can improve the quality of skaters' training by developing specific muscle groups. The device is intended for athletes of all age groups - from beginner to master of sports.

The device (Fig. 2) consists of a metal frame 3, at one end of which a rubber shock absorber 4 is attached. The other end of the shock absorber is attached to the athlete's belt 1. The athlete simulates skating on a special imitation platform 2. The platform measuring 40 x 135 cm is covered with stainless steel sheet steel, which provides the lowest coefficient of friction with leather and synthetic soles of shoes when the athlete moves.

A training device with a pulley system is designed for special strength training for speed skaters of various qualifications and ages.

The device (Fig. 3) is a U-shaped stand 2 mounted on a metal frame 7. Two rollers 1 are welded to the top of the stand. Rollers 6 are attached to the metal frame on both sides. Cable 3 is passed through the rollers. One end of the cable is attached to the athlete's belt 5, and a weight 4 is attached to the second end of the cable.

The load is selected using a weight depending on the athlete’s preparedness and the simulated distance. A device of this design can be used in combination with a simulation platform and without it, indoors and outdoors. Various options are also available for attaching the blocks.
