Cholesterol

Cholesterol is a complex lipid of natural origin, involved in the biosynthesis of cell membranes, of which approximately half is synthesized in the liver, and the rest enters the body with food. Actually, the main function of cholesterol is to make the walls of the body’s cells resistant to free radicals, otherwise most of the cells would die. Excessive amounts of cholesterol increases the permeability of cell walls, making them permeable to microbes, viruses, and toxins, which, when they penetrate cells, cause various diseases.
