Vitamin A-Acid

Acid vitamin A is not a vitamin, although it has been mistaken for one due to its use in large doses as a medicine. This is not one substance, but a whole class of compounds, among which the most popular and safest representative is the drug beta-carotene. It is extracted from carrots, tomatoes, peppers, citrus fruits and other products. Green peas, beets, cabbage, sorrel, melon, nettle, daisy, and dandelion are rich in beta-carotene. But the effect of carotene in the human body is not limited to vitamin A. In retinoid form, it plays an important role in the formation of intraocular fluid, cholesterol metabolism, helps skin cells regenerate, recover from damage, and regulates the functioning of the sebaceous glands.
