Casein hydrolyzate

Casein hydrolyzate is a food product obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis of milk protein - casein.

Casein hydrolyzate is a parenteral nutrition product and is used to compensate for protein deficiency in various diseases and conditions accompanied by impaired digestion and absorption of proteins in the intestine.

The advantage of casein hydrolyzate is its high digestibility compared to native protein. Thanks to enzymatic hydrolysis, casein molecules are broken down into short peptides and amino acids, which are more easily absorbed into the blood even with impaired intestinal function.

Casein hydrolyzate is used as an additional source of amino acids and easily digestible protein in the treatment of exhaustion, burns, injuries, hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, and chronic renal failure. It is used for parenteral and enteral nutrition in health care settings.
