Hair Breathing Continued

When performing the next exercise, we will rely on childlike spontaneity and impartiality of judgment, which truly work wonders. Leave doubts and see for yourself what is real and what is illusory.

So, let's learn how to “breathe hair” in the armpits.

Breathing hair continuation 2

1. Sit on a chair, place your clasped hands on your knees (right hand on top of your left). You can take one of the other static poses.
2. Close your eyes and relax your body. Breathe smoothly and slowly using the “reverse breathing” technique (pulling in your stomach as you inhale and expanding as you exhale; the chest is relaxed). Try not to think about anything. Stay in this position for at least a minute.
3. Focus on the hair on your head. Breathe them as you learned in the previous lesson. Continue exercising until you feel energetic saturation in your mouth.
4. Turn your attention to your armpits. Try to feel the hair in your armpits or just imagine that you feel it. Those who shave their armpits still have hair follicles to focus on.
5. As you inhale, imagine or feel the energy flowing through your armpit hairs (follicles) into your armpits. 6. As you inhale, squint your eyes slightly and tighten the muscles of your anus (perineum). Feel how energy exchange occurs between the tongue and the oral cavity.
7. As you exhale, relax the muscles of your eyes and anus. Focus on the sensation of breathing in your armpit hair.
8. After about a minute, as you exhale, direct the energy from your armpits to your shoulders and then into your mouth. Gently sucking on your tongue and sucking in your cheeks and moving your lower jaw back and forth will help the energy reach the mouth area.
9. To accumulate a sufficient amount of saliva, make nine circular movements with your tongue between your lips and teeth.
10. Place your tongue between your teeth and make six circular movements in the opposite direction. As saliva accumulates, mentally imagine how it is saturated with energy coming from the hair of your head and armpits.
11. Place the tip of the tongue on the surface of the lower teeth, and press the middle part of the tongue against the palate.
12. Tuck in your chin and, straightening your neck, swallow saliva with a characteristic sound. Feel how the energy penetrates into the stomach, and the area of the lower tan tien becomes warmer.
13. Pat your chest and armpits with your palm and begin walking (15 seconds or longer).
Feeling the breath of hair in your armpits is much more difficult than feeling the breath of hair on your head. Therefore, the exercise should begin with breathing the hair on the head. The feeling of energy flow that arises during the exercise helps to shift attention to the shoulder girdle.

As already mentioned, conviction in the reality of what is happening literally works wonders. In order to feel the flow of energy, you need to completely relax. If you experience insurmountable difficulties or cannot get rid of tension, stop and resume classes at another time.

A significant part of the material presented in this book is devoted to ways of manipulating energy flows. The proposed techniques constitute a vital part of the Taoist practice of healing, rejuvenation and achieving longevity. Therefore, you will have to get used to such unusual ways of “breathing”. And for this you need to have a correct and unbiased attitude towards the Taoist method.
