Diet to lower cholesterol

The basis of the cholesterol-lowering diet is soy. Also included in the cholesterol-lowering diet are porridges and other products made from oats and barley, which contain a lot of plant fiber. Also a source of protein are almonds and dishes prepared with them, which are high in soy protein, nuts and grain fiber. Instead of animal fats, the diet includes margarine, sauces and salad dressings based on vegetable oils. A cholesterol-lowering diet certainly contains flea plantain seeds (can be bought in pharmacies). It is recommended to add eggplant and okra to vegetables.

It is advisable to include more legumes (peas, beans, lentils), cereals, fish and fruits in the menu and cook food in olive oil more often. Soybeans, vegetables, fruits - contain water-soluble plant fiber (pectin, gluten). There is a lot of pectin in black currants, plums, apricots, carrots, and apples. Gluten, which is found in grains: wholemeal bread, cereals (oatmeal, buckwheat), unpolished rice, bran, also helps reduce cholesterol.
