Grilled foods are bad for your skin

Summer is the time for picnics, barbecues and grill parties. But it seems like it's time to limit your consumption of grilled foods if you want to keep your skin young and healthy. Experts from University College London found that such products contribute to the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin.

A group of scientists conducted a study and found that grilled food contains molecules that negatively affect the skin. It turned out that these molecules are products of accelerated glycosylation, a process in which carbohydrates interact with proteins or fats at high temperatures.

The higher the grill temperature, the more harmful molecules are contained in the food cooked on it. These molecules are like “bombs” that attack collagen in the skin. Collagen is a protein that gives the skin firmness and elasticity. When collagen breaks down, the skin loses its elasticity and wrinkles appear.

Experts recommend minimizing your consumption of grilled foods to prevent wrinkles and sagging skin. They also recommend using creams containing antioxidants and vitamins A, C and E, which protect the skin from free radical damage and help keep it healthy and youthful.

While grilled foods may be delicious and popular, they can be harmful to your skin health. It is better to limit their consumption and pay attention to other cooking methods that are not harmful to the skin. Healthy skin is one of the most important aspects of a healthy lifestyle and deserves our attention and care.
