Therapeutic gymnastics is a type of gymnastics used as one of the means of a physical education and health complex. It is used mainly in sports medicine and can be considered one of the main forms of physical therapy (PT).

The use of therapeutic exercises has existed since the times of Hippocrates and Aristotle. These were exercises that were used in physical culture to treat fractures and wounds. With the development of medicine and the emergence of new approaches to health, the use of therapeutic exercises has become more diverse and targeted.

Therapeutic exercises are not only exercises for muscles, but also a way to improve coordination, balance, endurance and functionality of the body. Therapeutic exercises can help the patient better control their body, prevent the development of complications and maintain regularity in all areas.

It also promotes muscle and cardiovascular development. The findings suggest that therapeutic exercises help improve the patient's physical fitness and prepare him for more complex physical activities. In addition to physical exercise, many gymnastics also include special muscle relaxation exercises and breathing exercises to improve blood circulation.

Classification

First of all, therapeutic exercises are classified according to their target orientation. In this case, there are three main types: - Aerobic gymnastics - Aero-strength direction - Circuit training

The first type includes performing basic physical exercises without the use of special equipment - arm swings, squats, bends. The exercises are aimed at increasing the endurance of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. The most common type of aerobic gymnastics is running, gymnastics or swimming.

Aero-force movement involves the use of special equipment. These include not only strength exercises using dumbbells, machines and weights, but also flexibility exercises and non-weight-bearing exercises. The most used types of aero-strength gymnastics are body presses, various presses, and dumbbell raises in different directions.

Circuit training is a set of exercises aimed at correcting the figure, increasing endurance and strength. It uses not only equipment, but also exercise machines and your own weight. Classes are conducted comprehensively and are aimed at all muscle groups.



Therapeutic gymnastics - G., is used as a remedy, as a therapeutic or preventive measure; is considered the main form of exercise therapy. Gymnastics is therapeutic; Gymnastics is important - both for the treatment of diseases and for their prevention. Therapeutic gymnastics exercises help the body cope with various ailments faster, and in the postoperative period, gymnastics will be very effective.

Therapeutic gymnastics is aimed at restoring and improving the quality of the patient’s movements, normalizing his physiological functions and physical performance, as well as preventing exacerbations or progression of existing diseases. Classes are conducted under the supervision of a qualified specialist or exercise therapy instructor. An individual set of exercises is compiled taking into account contraindications and the severity of functional disorders, the degree of disability, developmental characteristics and the nature of the course of the disease. In this way, therapeutic physical culture differs significantly from other forms of exercise therapy and is the most important rehabilitation technique. Lesson duration is up to 30 minutes.

It is recommended to perform slow movements at a slow pace. This will reduce the work of the cardiovascular system, but give the full effect of restored body functions. If you still experience pain or rapid fatigue, then for some time it is necessary to reduce the amplitude or intensity of the exercise. Classes will be held three times a week, water classes two to three times. It must be remembered that performing physical exercises during pain can intensify this symptom.
