Olive oil and fish will save you from pancreatitis

Olive oil and fish can successfully fight pancreatitis due to the antioxidants and fatty acids they contain. This conclusion was made by specialists from the Spanish University of Granada.

Scientists have long studied the effects on the body of foods that are allowed to be consumed during the healthy, widely advertised and recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage of the Mediterranean diet. It turned out that fatty acids and antioxidants, which are very abundant in olive oil and fatty sea fish, affect inflammatory processes in pancreatic cells. They relieve inflammation, prevent and reduce the effect of pathological processes in cells.

Thus, regular consumption of olive oil and fatty fish can help prevent the development of pancreatitis or alleviate its course. These products are recommended to be included in the diet of those who suffer from this disease or have a predisposition to it.
