Miloš Sarcev

In this article we will tell you about the world famous Yugoslav giant, whose height is 180 centimeters and pre-competition weight is 109 kilograms. This bodybuilding star's name is Milos Sarcev, and he is rightfully record holder for the number of competitions in which he took part.

Biography

Milos Sarcev was born on January 17, 1964 in Yugoslavia. Since childhood, I was fond of various sports, mainly martial arts, until I came to bodybuilding. Having tried myself in this path and felt real progress in a fairly short time, I decided to opt for this particular sports field...

Despite the stubborn long-term training, impressive visual results and inimitable relief forms, which the athlete suffered with sweat and blood throughout his professional career, alas, is to his credit. very few victories, the most significant of which is first place in the 1997 competition Toronto-Montreal Pro.

“However, without gold medals, significant prizes and awards, why is he so famous?” - you ask. The answer is obvious - Milos's main trophy is his own, perfected body. Having started to actively engage in bodybuilding, Sartsev plunged headlong into the training process. Until 1999, he visited the hall practically daily, contrary to all methods, athletic principles and common sense, leaving a minimum of time for rest and recovery. Having trained in such a super-intensive mode for many years, he managed, contrary to all the laws of nature, not to receive a single serious injury during this entire period.

Only after ten years of continuous training at such a crazy pace, putting it in my piggy bank 68 professional competitions With his participation, Milos Sarcev finally allowed himself to rest a little and only at that moment realized how much he had exhausted his body. After spending a month without training, Milos relaxed, lost his excitement, the necessary enthusiasm, zeal and motivation... One month gave way to another, and a third - and the Yugoslav athlete still could not find the strength to return to strength training... Six months later, he finally overcame his psychological barrier and again crossed the threshold of his favorite gym, but the muscles, unaccustomed to serious loads, soon made themselves felt. Trying to quickly regain his former volume and strength, Milos in 2002 seriously damaged my quadriceps, in preparation for the “Night of Champions” competition. The doctors said in unison that the athlete would now have to move around for the rest of his life only by limping and using a cane. But despite all the diagnoses, Milos returned to the podium again just a year later. And he not only returned, but took ninth place, entering the top ten, at the same “Night of Champions” championship. Since then, one of the main rules of an athlete, both as a coach-mentor and as a practicing athlete, literally sounds like this:

Always listen to your body! (C) Milos Sarcev

According to Sartsev, there is nothing wrong with doing minor breaks in your training cycle. Rest for several days, and sometimes, perhaps even weeks, is also beneficial, but only if your body feels the need for it. However, naturally, it is worth remembering that the muscles significantly lose tone during rest, so returning to their previous levels must be gradual and extremely careful.

In addition to coaching, the athlete’s multifaceted talent and charm allowed him to establish himself in film industry. True, it is worth saying that for Milos these undertakings turned out to be even more are traumaticthan bodybuilding. During the filming of the feature film “At the Hour When Shadows Die,” one of the special effects using pyrotechnics ended for the athlete deepest burns on the face, back and arms. Doctors classified them as second and third degrees of severity. But luck again, contrary to all the laws of nature, smiled on the athlete - after a month spent in the hospital, he almost completely recovered. Well, isn't this a miracle?
