Quadruple Breath (Part 8)

The quadruple breathing exercises included in the final part are one of my favorites.

They complete the process of filling the body with energy (qi). When I'm in a hurry, I can always quickly do these exercises in the required sequence, which give me new strength. Sometimes I just need to focus my attention on the right points, and the energy begins to flow in the desired direction.

In this lesson we will repeat the previously learned sexual kung fu exercises. You will once again be convinced of the uniqueness of the Taoist approach to the use of sexual energy. The following internal exercise is powerful in its impact, so try not to overdo it. It can be performed sitting, standing or lying down.

  1. 1. Take a deep breath using abdominal breathing. Fill your lungs completely with air.
  2. 2. Take a breath. Contracting the perineum and anus and sending the “perineal force” to the upper center, look with your inner gaze at the occipital point.

  3. 344

  4. 3. With a characteristic sound, take another breath and completely relax the perineum.

  5. 345

  6. 4. “Close” the external opening of the penis or labia.
  7. 5. Hold your breath and direct the energy from the tip of the penis or clitoris inward, down your legs to the babbling brook point (or toes), then return the energy to the starting point. If you have enough breath, repeat the exercise several times.
  8. 6. As you exhale, squeeze the head of your penis or labia.
  9. 7. Relax and walk around the room.

With practice, this exercise, combined with quadruple breathing, will provide a complete internal massage of the body, starting from the back of the head and ending with the heels. Sometimes after doing this exercise I feel renewed.

I hope you have fun practicing the quadruple breathing. Translating Taoist exercises into common language presents certain difficulties. In trying to cope with this task, I did everything in my power. I sincerely want to believe that reading this book not only enriched you with a conceptual understanding of Chinese art, but actually taught you how to control your inner strength and fill your body with the life-giving energy of qi.
