Hair Breathing Qi Breathing

Taoist methods are largely based on the natural behavior of a child. If you were children and I asked you to breathe in your hair, you would not consider it absurd.

The child would instantly feel a tingling sensation at the roots of his hair, and all his attention would be focused on his head. Then he would feel the hair as something indescribable, fluffy, like cotton wool. Perhaps he would have an image of hair-antennas, attracting and absorbing... What? Of course, not air, but something else.

If you were at this happy age, you would clearly feel a certain energetic substance penetrating your hair as you inhale. As you exhale, your hair would begin to radiate energy. However, it is better to save it, since it would flow in the direction suggested by your mental effort. This technique is not as complicated as it seems.

But what is easy for a child is difficult for the mind of an adult, who is captive of habitual stereotypical misconceptions. If you feel that your pragmatic and logical mind is becoming a serious obstacle to the perception of the material presented, temporarily refuse its services and become carefree, like a child. Always remember this before starting yoga practice.
Taoist practice allows you to “take a vacation to yourself” at any time of the day and forget about everyday worries and worries for a few minutes. A smile on the face (in the eyes) will help relieve tension, make a person cheerful and provide an opportunity to know one’s true nature.

Earlier you learned about the breathing of hair on the head. Now let's begin to consider issues related to armpit hair. Axillary hair is a by-product of muscle activity. Excess muscle energy is stored in the axillary hair. The axillary hair corresponds to the spleen/pancreas.
Our task is to learn how to use the excess energy stored in the armpit hair. Typically, a lot of tension is created in the armpits. People most often do not know the reasons for this phenomenon. The fact is that tension occurs mainly in the shoulders and neck, so all the excess energy of the muscular system rushes to these areas.

Most of the excess energy passes through tense and tired muscles. Sometimes tension becomes so habitual that the muscles lose the ability to relax. As a result, excess energy, flowing through the hair of the armpits, ends its path in the oral cavity, thereby removing excessive stress from the muscles of the neck and shoulders. In practice, you will learn to feel the movement of excess energy flow.
