The editors of WANT.ua took the risk of changing their diet for a week. I decided to give up... sweets for 7 days.
Photo recipe: fruit and marshmallow dessert
I can’t call myself a big sweet tooth, but if someone treats me to something sweet, I almost never refuse :) Therefore, it was interesting to test myself how addicted I am to chocolates, cookies and other delicious things..
The first day of my research was fairly easy. Sweets did not tempt me, I remained steadfast. But that was just the beginning... The next few days were not so easy. I began to feel sad that someone could afford a piece of cake, but I couldn’t. In the evening, while drinking tea, I began to miss sweets or at least waffles. But still she controlled herself.
Day 4 was a real test of endurance. I wanted to steal candy! And do it unnoticed. I’ve already started imagining pictures in my head of me devouring this chocolate mass with great appetite. But, alas. The crime could not be committed. There were too many witnesses.
Day 5 was easier than the previous one, but the candy still haunted me. Chocolate withdrawal has begun.
Day 6. I couldn’t resist. I only ate one candy, honestly. But I felt bliss and satisfaction. It's not even a shame :)
Day 7. The finale of my experiment has arrived. Everything passed calmly, because I was looking forward to how next week I would eat as much sweets as my heart desired. But I was wrong. As soon as the ban on sweets was lifted, I went with a light heart for two pieces of cake. And then it became offensive. I barely finished the second piece.
I felt sad. Expediency: sometimes it is useful to limit yourself in sweets - eat more fruit. In general, I conclude that it is quite possible to live without sweets. But like from that advertisement: “I know that you can live without chocolate...anyone who needs such a life.”
Making such restrictions is definitely useful, because they concern more openly harm
