Diet rules for heartburn

Heartburn is not a disease, but it may indicate health problems. Therefore, if it occurs frequently, it is better to consult a doctor. If heartburn attacks do not occur often, then in this case you need to reconsider your diet and diet.

It's not just when you eat, but what you eat and how you eat that matters. You can’t eat quickly, overeat, you can’t eat before bed, you can’t overuse marinades, smoked meats, and spicy dishes. It is necessary to completely eliminate dry eating. Alcohol consumption should be kept to a minimum.

You need to eat 5-6 times a day, little by little, without allowing your stomach to become full. After eating, you should not go to bed immediately. Walk, stand, or at least sit for 30-40 minutes. Maintain the correct sleeping position: sleep with two pillows under your head.

It is advisable to exclude from the diet foods that contribute to flatulence: milk, rye bread, legumes, cabbage. Limit fried foods, rich meat and fish broths, spices - everything that helps increase the production of gastric juice. It is important to achieve regular bowel movements and take care to prevent constipation.

Food should not be too hot or too cold, as this causes additional irritation to the inflamed areas of the esophagus.

It is recommended to eat day-old white wheat bread, low-fat cookies, oatmeal or buckwheat porridge, low-fat cottage cheese, omelettes, boiled or steamed vegetables, lean meat (beef, veal), fish (hake, cod, pollock), boiled chicken meat, sweet fruit juices, weak tea with milk, rose hip decoction, dried fruit compote.
