Extensor of the V finger of the hand

Extension of the fifth finger (“extensor thumb”) is a movement in which the hand brings the fifth finger into a position perpendicular to the other fingers. This movement unloads the muscles of the thumb, which bear the main burden in the position of extended fingers. (The extensor carpal protuberance of the fifth finger will be located in front of you, between the two tendons of the extensor of the fifth finger and the thumb) The exercise is especially good to do after sedentary work or on gymnastic apparatus (where we have no support), as well as when the hands and fingers work hard: shipbuilders, potters, blowers, carpenters, sculptors. It will also help during periods of increased tension associated with stress on the hands and limbs. It will help with acromegaly, carpal tunnel pathology and problems with the wrists, palms and fingers.
