The main causes of stress among Ukrainians have become known

Stress is a condition that every person experiences, and Ukrainians are no exception. The National Institute for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, with the assistance of the International Charitable Foundation "Health of the Ukrainian People", conducted a survey to find out what makes Ukrainians nervous and how they deal with stress.

The survey showed that the majority of Ukrainians experience stress. In fact, 94.6% of respondents have felt it at least once in their lives, and 39.7% experience it regularly. But what are the main reasons that cause stress among our compatriots?

Problems at work came first. More than half of respondents (55.3%) indicated that work is the main cause of their stress. Enormous workloads, conflicts with superiors, cheating and deprivation of bonuses thoroughly damage the nervous system. Lack of money and debts (39.84%), health of relatives (25.15%), atmosphere in the family (20.12%) and the general political situation in the country (22.13%) were also on the list of causes of stress. Some respondents listed all of these reasons at once.

As for methods of dealing with stress, the majority of Ukrainians prefer to watch TV and read books (46.48%) and make merciless attacks on the refrigerator (41.06%). However, a fairly large group resorts to the “knock it out” tactics: 34.6% of respondents prefer “effective treatment” with smoking and alcohol. However, a fifth of respondents choose more effective methods: in their arsenal, valerian (46.28%) and Corvalol (33.60%) have been proven by time and generations, which the majority of respondents prefer to take in the form of tablets (74.9%). This is not surprising - after all, you can always take the tablets with you, including to work, on a trip, on vacation, or while shopping. At the same time, 57.2% would recommend these products to their family and friends as an effective drug to combat stress.

Thus, the survey showed that stress is a common phenomenon in Ukraine, and its main causes are related to work, financial problems, the health of relatives, the atmosphere in the family and the situation in the country. Most Ukrainians use various methods to deal with stress, such as watching TV, reading books, attacking the refrigerator, drinking alcohol and smoking. However, some respondents use more effective methods, such as taking tablets with valerian or Corvalol.

Stress can have a serious impact on a person's health and well-being, so it's important to learn how to manage it. More effective methods of dealing with stress may include exercise, meditation, deep breathing, positive thoughts and time management. If stress becomes chronic or interferes with normal life, you should consult a specialist.

Overall, the survey showed that stress is common in Ukraine and its causes can vary. It's important to find effective ways to manage stress to maintain your health and well-being.
