Thiaminase

**Thiaminase** - (syn: aneurinase) is a complex enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of thiazic acid, the synthesis of which is possible both in the process of cellular respiration and the synthesis of thiamine (vitamin B1). In recent years, the term “vitamin pump” has appeared, with the help of which thiamine in humans is “pumped” from the intestinal microflora into the cell of the intestinal mucosa and transported through it through the mucosa into the bloodstream. Bacteria that live in the mouth and intestines are responsible for the production of this substance. Research shows that with age, a person begins to consume less thiaminized foods and its non-essential content increases.
