Walnuts prevent the development of malignant tumors - this was the conclusion made by specialists from the American Marshall University after conducting a study on experimental mice. Scientists introduced walnuts to the diet of rodents and it turned out that this product can actively fight breast cancer.
Nuts were added to females during pregnancy and lactation, and they also continued to be fed to newborn mice throughout their lives. The risk of developing mammary cancer in the group of animals that ate nuts was reduced by half compared to those animals that were not given this delicacy. And if they did develop tumors, they were not malignant.
Professor Elaine Hardman notes that the results have impressed and pleased scientists and advises women to consume 50-55 g of walnuts daily.
