Yoga as a means of cleansing the body. Worth a try!

If you are completely desperate to lose weight, neither pills, nor diets, nor separate meals help, think about yoga. First of all, cleanse your body through a process that experts call Kriya. With this practice, you will get rid of harmful and unnecessary substances in the body, and in those places that are called hard to reach. There are six such Kriyas or special exercises for cleansing the body, each of which is responsible for getting rid of unnecessary things from a specific system or organ.

Keep in mind that although all of these practices are scientifically proven and approved by doctors, be sure to consult with a physician. It is quite possible that you have a contraindication to performing one of the Kriyas.

Kapalbhati

This word, unusual for our ears, refers to sharp exhalations through the nose. This exercise is performed while sitting in the lotus position. Raise your tongue to the palate and upper front teeth, then relax it and at the same time slowly move your eyes to the bridge of your nose. Then take a deep breath once and exhale sharply up to a dozen times through your stomach through your nose. Remember that with each exhalation you need to sharply draw in your stomach, and if it’s not too hard, then tighten your pelvic floor.

Nauli

This is tension and contraction of the pelvic and abdominal muscles. First of all, you should tighten the perineum, then the lower abdomen, and then the entire abdomen. Rest. Start again. This exercise is very useful for those who have a sedentary job and have blood stagnation in the pelvic organs. Therefore, in the fight against extra pounds, this practice is very useful and necessary. But if you are pregnant or have abdominal diseases, menstruation, then you should not abuse nauli for your own good.

Basti

This is what yogis call colon cleansing. You will be surprised, but this is done using a tube through which the anus must draw water into the rectum and release it back. This exercise should be done until the water becomes clear, so you will understand that your intestines are clean.

We are accustomed to all sorts of enemas, and they can also replace basti, but you won’t feel all the charm of what yogis call their surroundings. With an enema, you risk washing out all the microflora from the intestines, but with the help of a straw you will also train the anal muscles.

Dhauti

Dhauti is a cleansing of the stomach. This exercise involves drinking 1.5 liters of warm water and inducing a gag reflex, while stimulating the root of the tongue. Yogis advise doing this procedure once a week.

Nettie

You have an excellent opportunity to cleanse your nasal passages. And what is characteristic of this is that water poured into one nostril should pour out of the other. You can also use salted water or herbal infusions, thus preventing the flu. By the way, yogis have a special teapot for this procedure and perform it daily before training.

Trataka

This word can be interpreted as “cleansing with tears.” During this practice, you need to sit straight and look at one point until your eyes begin to water. You have about 10 minutes to do everything.
