The device is designed for muscle development lower back. It is also used for the development of abdominal muscles due to the versatility of the starting positions and methods of fixing the athlete’s body on this sports equipment.

Some even try to search through private advertisements for a used one: “buy a used hyperextension machine cheap”, wanting to acquire this extremely necessary sports equipment without any special financial expenses. But design its extremely simple and can be easily implemented even at home. As always, we provide a diagram of the structure of this machine indicating all the dimensions of its key elements.
The hyperextension trainer consists of two support pads (2) mounted on a frame (1), a height-adjustable leg stop (3) and two handles. If the restraints are located below the level of the support pads, pain in the hips occurs during the exercise.
Alternative device for the lower third of the back muscles
This machine is primarily focused on developing the lower back extensors as well as the biceps femoris.
It consists of a base (1), on which a platform (2) with limiters (3) and a stand inclined at an angle of 50 degrees with support pads (4) are mounted. The angle of inclination of the platform to the stand should be about 90 degrees.
This device design is effective in preventing injuries to the lumbar spine. When training for preventive purposes, using weights is not recommended.
