Gunther's Disease

"In the German language there is a fairly well-known phraseological unit to indicate an error in the pronunciation of words. This is günther pronunciation of the word “Heinrich” (Heinrich) after the proper name of the German therapist Hans Heinrich Günther, who died in 1955. Since then, the expression “güntsch” has arisen, which means an error in pronunciation, misunderstanding or misappropriation of someone's name or what belongs to him."

This expression was coined by Jonas Young's book "Füßchen und Mäuschen" ("Street Boys and House Boys"), which was published in 2008. The book included a series of stories about various people who used the expression and their humorous interpretations of its meaning.

It should be noted that Fräulein Löderhaus used this expression many times, most often with benevolent intentions. Eventually, in the name of humor, she began answering questions and feedback in the most serious tone possible. The misunderstanding that arose among the listeners led them to directly insist on a more serious answer. When the Fraulein reached a critical point, she had to end it or report that the question had been asked inappropriately
