Cosmetics Kils employee reviews

Another review of cosmetics as part of our promotion - from Dasha. Read and think - there is plenty of food for thought :)

I went to the corner of the cosmetic brand Kiehl’s in GUM specifically to buy hair products. I am fanatical about my hair, I try to pamper, pamper and cherish it, and therefore I choose the best for it. I had never tried Kiehl’s shampoos and hair masks before, so I decided to take the risk without hesitation.

The first thing that caught my eye upon entering the corner was the dissonance between the design of the corner and the appearance of the consultant. Near the door I was “met” by a skeleton dressed in a medical gown (a fake, thank God), and the corner itself resembled a pharmacy, so I expected to see a consultant - “a la naturel”, whose appearance would fully correspond to the concept of the brand. However, instead I saw a very tanned, mature, brightly made-up blonde.

The second shock for me came when this blonde opened her mouth: the strong accent cut unpleasantly in my ear. It seems to me that to work in the corner of such a brand as Kiehl's, especially in the capital of our country, especially practically on Red Square, it would be possible to find a girl without such a clear southern accent, who could speak Russian competently without using the words - parasites and words like “damn”...

Thirdly, there were 2 clients in the corner: me and another lady with Birkin. This lady could not decide what she needed and whether she needed it at all. She completely captured the attention of the sales assistant, who was desperately trying to sell her a cream with musk, a face cream, a night serum, or a shampoo. At the same time, to my great envy, the consultant generously offered the client samples - there was a facial scrub, and samples of various serums and creams. How I would like such merry round dances to be performed around me too! But... Alas and ah...

In the end, without having bought anything, the lady sailed away towards the La Mer corner, and I finally had a chance to talk with the consultant.

During this time, I managed to study almost all the shampoos and conditioners on my own, I made my choice and I no longer really needed the help of the seller. True, she promised to give me samples of other shampoos that interested me, but... she forgot. I discovered this after I had already picked up the cheerful pink ARTICOLI bag and said goodbye to the radiant blonde consultant. Can you imagine the extent of my grief? A sample of body cream dangled forlornly in the bag. That's all. Almost grinding my teeth with anger, I was not too lazy to return. The seller, of course, apologized for her sluggishness and corrected the mistake, but the aftertaste remained.

Overall, I'm very upset and disappointed. I only hope that the new shampoo and mask (Herbal Shampoo and Scalp Treatment for Dandruff and Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak) will be worthy and will bring the expected results.

If my review finds a response in the hearts of Kiehl’s HR employees, then I will be immensely happy!

What do you think, dears, is a Kiehl’s brand consultant obliged to speak without an accent? (I’m not even talking about the fact that he shouldn’t forget to put in samples:)

6 recommend working for the company.

18 do not recommend the company for employment.

Reviews of L'Oreal Group

Makeup artist-consultant

What can be improved:

I was interviewed for the position of consultant for the Urban Decay brand. Interviews are still conducted in the staff café on the ground floor. Well, an ordinary interview. I was waiting for feedback, as it was promised regardless of the decision, and it didn’t come. Judging by the reviews, I'm not the only one.

Merchandiser

What can be improved:

They promise 500 rubles per week for additional sales locations. In February I installed 7 houses and they stood for 3 weeks. And they paid me 3500 rubles. After such an attitude, I don’t want to work at all. I'm already looking for another job.

Store manager

could not be considered.

What can be improved:

The interview for the position of store manager (director) was conducted by a young girl (in fact, a supervisor of consultants. How she can assess the managerial competencies of a future store director is unclear, but oh well). She honestly, but mediocrely, bullied me for almost an hour in the corporate cafe. I wonder if this company knows what a “meeting room” is? Apparently not. When asked about the next stage of the interview, she answered with the brilliant phrase “well, if the territorial manager wants to talk to you, I’ll call you back”)) That is, their selection of employees depends on whether the manager wants or doesn’t want to. Apparently, the above-mentioned manager has a permanent one. because vacancies for the director of Keels and UD stores have been hanging around for years. Then, a few days later, they call me from the L’Oreal company, and, in response to my “hello,” they silently hang up). What kind of circus was this? And is it possible to adequately perceive the Russian representative office of L’Oreal after this?

Salesman

They only shake the air

What can be improved:

Complete deception and hidden intrigues. They just told me to write a letter of resignation, the reasons were ridiculous, they just leaked it. Working hours are being cut, overtime. You already need to talk to them in the language of justice, they have become insolent.

At the head office

Pros: Office in the center of Moscow+ World-famous company+

What can be improved: At a minimum, 4(!) stages of interviews await you. I went through all 4 stages in the office. Each interview lasted at least 1 hour. I prepared thoroughly for each interview. At the final meeting, it seemed to me that everything went well and, in fact, the manager at the end of the conversation said with a smile that we would definitely give detailed feedback on the results on Wednesday/Thursday. I immediately gave up looking for a job after all the interviews, being almost sure that everything was ok and they would hire me. But! A week passed, then another, then a third. There was no feedback from the HR manager. The “specialist” did not keep his words, and left me without feedback after four stages of the interview. as if I was interviewing at some unknown company that does not value its reputation. It was unpleasant to realize that the Moscow office of L'Oreal treats its candidates this way. The responsibility lies with the HR girls, who are obliged to conduct a dialogue and their fear and professional inability to tell the candidate bad news for him results in ignorance. (if HR is reading this message now, I advise you to change your attitude towards work) Maybe the so-called specialists do not understand that word of mouth exists, and I am sure that it is candidates who are able to change their attitude towards the L'Oreal company as an employer in a negative direction. Result: objectively weak employer brand, 0 feedback, arrogance in personnel selection, HR girls with minimal experience in recruiting and communicating with potential employees. P.s. In general, I turned a blind eye to this while going through the stages: a very low salary by Moscow standards. I wish you good luck in finding a job that suits you!

Position not specified

Pros: There are no advantages!

What can be improved: Working in this company means constant lies and communication with incompetent managers. They lie about everything: registration, payments, deadlines. The schedule and bonus grid changes at least 2 times per month. There is always a clear feeling that neither the RP nor the regional director understands what to do. All contracts you sign will be “slippery”. They can be interpreted, twisted any way you like) They will constantly convince you to be patient “a little” until everything gets better. But at the same time, psychological pressure, personalization and reminders of fines have not been canceled! You will be to blame for absolutely everything, even if it is not your competence, it is still you!

Merchandiser

Pros: Quick internship During the probationary period, the salary is no less than usual The possibility of additional income is not much, of course from 300-3000, but it will not be superfluous White salary, paid on time, 2 times a month, convenient schedule, good team

What can be improved: Increase payment for fuel and lubricants If you buy something for work, you have to wait a very long time when they compensate

Consultant

Pros: We can firmly say that there are none.

What can be improved: Improve?! Yes, this company is simply looking for unpaid labor. Don't expect bonuses; you didn't get paid when you left. They will find 100% reasons and, without confirming anything, deprive you of your earned money. Don't even bother sending the payslip. Everything is just in words

Merchandiser

Pros: There are no advantages.

What can be improved: I got a job as a merchandiser at the company and passed an interview. They told me to go to work only with a medical book, I did. I was assigned to training with a girl who had no idea how it was done, her tablet on which the training was supposed to be carried out was smashed into rubbish. All two days of “training” consist of cleaning store shelves and moving goods from one shelf to another. A lot of useless work, for example, putting a product on an advertising shelf, taking a photo, sending it to the supervisor and taking it apart again. Why? There will be no lunch, intercepting something along the way is luck. Total control of your movement. You can’t be late for a minute, please overwork and always overwork. On the second day, I expressed to my mentor what I thought about organizing work in the company. In the evening, the supervisor called me and said that I was not suitable for them (they needed more active ones). It’s funny. They promise stores near your home, but after talking with the merchants who work, this is a myth. Be prepared for the fact that the stores where you worked for some time, established work in them and a good relationship with the management, will take this store away from you and give you some kind of Perekrestok , where the person in charge of the cosmetics department will be some Ravshan who doesn’t speak Russian well. There will be no gifts from the company, no bonuses, buy cleaning products for cleaning with your own money, and keep in mind that your car will turn into a trash bin from the garbage being transported. The salary is 41 thousand rubles, but it looks like you will be 85).

Merchandiser

Pros: I do not recommend for employment. It’s physically very hard, you’re on your feet all day, carrying boxes from the warehouse and jumping on stepladders displaying goods. There’s no pay for processing, there won’t be lunch because there’s a fixed time allotted for each store, during which it’s impossible to get anything done. You cannot be late for a minute (your movement is tracked using the navigator), please overwork. They promise shops near your house, and you'll work all over the city. The salary they offer is 41 tr, but they will “have” you for 85 tr as a minimum). I was on an internship for two days, and both days I cleaned shelving (it seems like no one had done this before for two weeks). At the end of the second day, the supervisor called and said that I was not suitable for them (I need to be more active). In short, it's tough.

What can be improved: Remove surveillance of merchandisers, leave only basic responsibilities (display, cleaning).

For more than 100 years, we have been making the world not only more beautiful, but also better.

Let's start with the fact that Manpower called and invited me to an interview in their office. We talked about the L'Oreal company and listened to each of the candidates for the vacancy individually. They said that if they approve, then a second interview directly with the head of L'Oreal, we need to prepare, etc. Manpower approved and called me in for a second interview. The second interview took place in the L'Oreal office in a cafe. Standard questions, they said we'll call you back. I waited 4 days. I had already lost hope and started looking for other options. And then on the 5th day they call back, they say that they approved me, they are waiting for me at the training and will contact me about further actions. They sent me a letter with a lot of information, including what kind of makeup and how to apply it, how to dress, what hairstyle to do, fines, etc. And I have to go to work this week, on Saturday. And not a word about registration, about payment of wages.

I came to the training at the agreed time of 10 o'clock. As a result, it started only at 11, some were warned about it, others were not... I listened to pompous words about Yves Saint Laurent, about the products in the smallest detail. It was quite interesting. Some were given gifts on the way out, others were left out for some unknown reason. Not a word about working conditions or any working issues was discussed by anyone. It is unknown where this information was to be found out from. After the training they called and asked if it was interesting? I asked a question about the design, because... The first day is already upon us, but there has been no talk of registration. In response I heard that “they will call you.” As a result, the day before I’m supposed to go to work, they send me a schedule for the whole month. They assigned me to a store without taking into account my wishes regarding the location. The first week the schedule was “Metropolis” and that’s it. I am writing to which store in the metropolis, in Rive Gauche? (there is more than one cosmetics store there) They answered Dada, you understood correctly, Rive Gauche. Each employee is assigned a number, which he registers when coming and leaving work. They didn't give me this number. They said a little later, and a little later they stopped answering letters. Apparently the working day was over. By the way, if you don’t enter your registration number, they assume that you weren’t at work, so the fine is 1,500 rubles. In general, I received a fine due to the lack of punctuality of the employees of this office. But everything seems to be fine. So I came on my first day, looking for Rive Gauche in Metropolis. I ran around it several times and then it turned out that Rive Gauche had been closed a long time ago. Where to go? Letual or Ile de Beaute? What kind of disorganization and careless attitude towards a new employee is this? I climbed up to Ile de Beaut at random. The store is the size of a school office, with more employees than customers and everyone trying to push you into a new scent or something else. I couldn’t find an administrator there, so I turned to the first employee I could find. I say it’s my first day, I’m an intern, should I come to you? He says yes, go to the checkout, they will answer there. On the way I met a girl with a Yves Saint Laurent badge, I said, weren’t you warned that I should come, intern? No, but go change your clothes and get back into place.. Brilliant.. I tried to sneak into the closet where they were changing clothes. It's impossible to turn around there, let alone change clothes. Jackets, coats are piled up, there are a bunch of bags on the floor.. Someone is standing in just shorts and chatting with each other, someone is talking on the phone.. And this is all in a room 2 by 2.. Having waited 15 minutes and still no wait Until a place frees up, I turned around and got the hell out of there.. And now the question.. What is the attitude towards employees, and new ones at that?? Why don't you give normal information?? Why do you call for work without giving reliable information and without registering the person?? Luxury company with such attitude towards employees. You don't have my legs

And by the way, after I left, no one called back and found out why the employee did not come to work. Apparently no one cares there.
