Treatment with cereals
Currently, wheat, peas, beans, corn, and millet are used for germination. Sprouts can be used in any form, with any food, fried, boiled, steamed, raw. Currently, sprouted grains are very popular as a remedy against many diseases, as well as for maintaining body tone, increasing its performance and resistance, for preventing diseases, as well as in unfavorable environmental conditions.
Almost the entire world saves its health with wheat sprouts. In Paris, for example, they are sold in greengrocers' shops. In England, you can buy dried wheat sprouts in boxes at any pharmacy. In the US, pasteurized sprouts are sold, ground into powder or compressed into tablets, and Americans use them like salt, but, naturally, in larger quantities.
The methods for preparing grain sprouts are very simple and consist of the following: 24 hours before preparing a certain dish from sprouts (calculating 50-100 g of wheat per person), thoroughly wash the grains with running water. In this case, the floating grains are removed, and the full grains that have settled to the bottom are suitable for consumption. The grains are placed in a container with a flat bottom (a dish is best) and filled with water so that the top layer of grains is not completely covered. The container is covered with a paper napkin and placed in a warm place for 24 hours, during which the hatched sprouts reach a length of 1 mm. After repeated washing, the sprouted grains are passed through a meat grinder. The resulting mass is poured with hot milk, cream or boiling water in a 1:1 ratio, honey and butter are added to taste. Use the mixture for the first or second breakfast, once prepared; reheating is strictly prohibited.
An easier way to grow grain sprouts is as follows: on damp gauze or in tea strainers placed in glasses of water, they can be grown without interruption. For this purpose, it is necessary to plant grains every day, so that when the first harvest ripens, in the next 3-4 days the next harvest will be on the way, etc.
Sprouted wheat can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days, making sure to moisten the napkin covering it.
Why are sprouts so useful? They contain large amounts of vitamin E, which is necessary to maintain sexual function, normal functioning of muscle cells, nerve cells and liver cells. B vitamins are necessary for the normal functioning of the nervous, cardiovascular systems, muscles and vision.
Fiber - removes toxins from the body, stimulates intestinal motility. Chromium and lithium are rare trace elements that serve to prevent chronic nervous exhaustion.
Potassium - maintains acid-base balance, prevents muscle withering and gives them elasticity, strengthens the heart muscle.
Iron is necessary for red blood cells in combination with vitamin C (sauerkraut, potatoes, parsley, dill).
Sprouted seeds can be dried at home, ground in a coffee grinder and added to various dishes (preferably already prepared, so as not to subject the seeds to heat treatment and thereby protect the vitamins from destruction).
In winter, when the source of vitamins is sharply reduced, young shoots of wheat or corn can be used. The fact is that young shoots are especially rich in vitamins. They can be grown in a glass jar as follows: fill the jar one third with unthreshed cereal seeds and add water, cover and leave overnight. On the second day, drain the water, rinse the grains well and put the grains back into the jar.
Cover with gauze, tie with an elastic band, turn the jar over and place it in a plate, placing a wooden spoon under the neck of the jar so that the liquid can drain freely and there is air access to the shoots. On day 4-5 the seedlings will be ready. These green shoots can be finely chopped and added to salads, they can be seasoned in soups, added to gar
