Taoists consider the kidneys to be a “repository” of sexual energy, the excess of which is accumulated in the facial hair and can be used through the “facial hair breathing” exercise. The relationship between the kidneys and ears is based on their external similarity.
This exercise significantly increases the amount of Jing Qi in the kidneys. With experience, you will realize the importance of Jing Qi as the determining force in the transformation and sublimation of sexual energy into vital energy. At the same time, you will significantly reconsider your attitude towards sex life, and it will be significantly enriched with new experiences. Sounds tempting, doesn't it?
Having the skills of “hair breathing” on your head, armpits and pubic area, you can easily master the “facial hair breathing” exercise. This hair grows on almost everyone. Men can grow a beard. Women's faces also have light down. If you shave your face, you breathe through the roots of your hair or the pores of your skin.
1. Start the exercise by “hair breathing” on your head, armpits and pubic area.
2. Focus on facial hair. The sensations will depend on what kind of hair you have - thick or sparse.
3. Inhale slowly using reverse breathing (or abdominal breathing, if that's what you prefer). Feel how the energy from your face and chin moves into your mouth.
4. Exhale and feel how the energy passes through the hair, bypassing the skin.
5. Continue breathing into your hair for a minute.
6. On the next exhalation, imagine how the energy is concentrated in the mouth. As you inhale, it continues to come from your facial hair. The process can be speeded up by sucking on the tongue and slightly sucking in the cheeks. Stay in this state for 30 seconds.
7. To increase the amount of saliva in your mouth, make nine circular movements with your tongue between your lips and teeth and six circular movements with the tip of your tongue between your teeth in the opposite direction. If your mouth remains dry, repeat the exercise, increasing the number of tongue movements in both directions.
8. Feel the energy of the hair on your head, armpits, pubic area and face mixing with saliva. For better “mixing”, move your lower jaw several times, as if chewing saliva.
9. Press the tip of your tongue against the lower gum, and its middle part against the upper palate.
10. Tuck your chin in and, keeping your back and neck straight, swallow saliva with a characteristic sound. Feel the energy
descends into the stomach. Feel how the lower area of the tan tien becomes warmer and filled with excess energy. If desired, it can be “driven” several times along the “microcosmic orbit”.
11. Rub your palms together until warm and massage your face.
12. Make ten pats with the back of your fist on the kidney area.
13. Warm your palms again and place them on the kidney area. Move your palms up and down for a few seconds.
