A comprehensive training device for strength and speed-strength training.

You can perform exercises on the training device for the development of jumping strength and jumping ability with shock absorbers or weights in a standing or lying position. The device is intended for high jumpers, as well as for athletes of various qualifications in other sports.

High jumpers are trained on the training device in question at four workstations (Fig. I). All devices are located on one metal frame. The dimensions of pipes and parts are shown in Fig. I, a. Basic exercises are shown in Fig. I, 6 in accordance with the location of workplaces. Athletes train almost all major muscle groups of the lower extremities using the proposed device. But unlike fitness and bodybuilding, where the main emphasis is on muscle mass, relief and muscle volume, in jumper training the emphasis is on explosive strength, speed and sharpness of movements. The device is designed to strengthen the leg muscles. It can also be used for arm press. The device can vary different loads (with different weights), which makes it possible to conduct training sessions for athletes of various qualifications in various sports.

The installation is located on one metal frame. The dimensions of pipes and parts are shown in Fig. II, a. The height of the lever should be such that it occupies a horizontal position at the level of the athlete’s shoulders. The length of the chain is shortened by rearranging its links on the upper hook so that the lower lever with the load is “in weight” and when raising the toes the athlete can move freely without hitting the floor.

Training a high jumper on this device involves all kinds of exercises due to raising on toes straightened legs, as well as exercises with bent knees. You can perform key training exercises while standing on one leg, or with your feet in front of, on, or behind the machine support. All available movements are performed at a fast pace. Basic exercises are shown in Fig. II, b, c.

Specialized gym for high jumpers.

A specialized gym is designed for general and special training track and field high jumpers. The presence of several training devices creates conditions for targeted training and improvement of jumping technique, as well as intensification of the training process.

The complex equipment of the hall (Fig. III) consists of three independent lines of exercise equipment. All three lines are located in one hall.

Exercises can be performed using complex and variable methods. With the complex method, various exercises are selected, but with a load on a specific muscle group. With the variable method, homogeneous exercises are performed, almost identical in appearance, but at the same time the conditions, speed and amount of effort during the movements vary during one approach. Alternating several exercises of the same line in a certain order, as well as exercises on simulators of different lines, creates conditions for a complex and variable effect on muscle groups, which allows for both general and special training effects. In Fig. III an example version is given specialized hall and the necessary comprehensive equipment for jumping athletes.
