Today we will continue to destroy the stereotypes and myths of beginners associated with their first trip to the gym, and today we will talk about time and your initial preparation, because these moments are the most common misconceptions that need to be immediately dealt with once and for all.
One of the main myths of beginners: The longer the training, the more benefits.
The longest training set of exercises on our website lasts from 60 to 90 minutes. It is important to immediately understand that, in principle, there is no need for more, because you will already sweat and be exhausted to the limit, although in a good mood. Any intensive fitness or bodybuilding program is designed to make the most of your time. And there is no need to lengthen your workouts at all. Because this is madness. The best way to work is to do as much as possible in the least amount of time spent. This is the real secret to building a body.
Another most common stereotype of fear of going to the gym is shyness in front of real pros. Like, only real Champions go to the gym - why should I care about them? In other words, this myth can be rephrased as follows: professional athletes are the most physically fit people in the world, and I have nothing to compete with them...
This little story inspired everyone I told it to. In my fitness group there is one respectable old lady - she is 70 years old. So, a couple of years ago, during a training session, she got into a conversation with one of my professional martial arts athletes. It all ended with them making a bet on who would do the most classic push-ups on a fitball (gymnastic ball), raising one leg up. My pro - Champion in army hand-to-hand combat, was able to do 12 push-ups. And then a skinny granny entered the arena and did 20 push-ups, and everyone got the impression that she could do more.
